Carly Crane is committed to fostering a sense of wonder and a love of learning in all her students.  She values flexible, individualized guidance that is catered to each child, and emphasizes hands-on activities that require critical thinking and creativity.  She provides a nurturing, safe environment for exploration and participation.

Carly has gained experience in many areas of childcare and 

education.  While earning her bachelor's degree, she studied 

Theories of Education, Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Music, and Individuals with Exceptionalities, among others.  She has completed over 100 hours of classroom observation and volunteer work in many venues, including a variety of schools, a Boys and Girls Club, an Adult Special Needs Daycare, Alternative High School, and meal delivery for needy families.  She has provided childcare for many families over the last 15 years, and now has two children of her own.

These experiences have led her to the strong belief that no two people are perfectly alike, and we can all learn something from each other if we truly seek to find the good that is inherent in everyone.  She also believes that education doesn't end when school ends; rather, it serves as a vehicle to improve oneself and the world around us.

Carly's hobbies include spending time with family, reading classic literature and relevent nonfiction, singing, exercising, reading, playing games, baking, dancing (especiallly ballroom), drawing, painting, ceramics, sewing, and gardening.  She shares her love of these activities with children by including them whenever possible.  She loves to meet new people and find ways to help the surrounding community.
